I am a dedicated and passionate Martial Arts instructor and program leader with over eight years of experience in teaching, coaching, and managing programs that empower individuals of all ages to develop confidence, discipline, and life skills. I have experience in creating engaging learning environments, building community partnerships, and leveraging social media to grow programs and increase community impact. I am currently seeking to bring my expertise to the Orlando area to establish and grow Martial Arts programs that build strong, productive individuals.

Below you will find my professional experience and some of the results I’ve achieved working with different organizations!

  • Budo Full Range Martial Arts

When I was 11, I began my journey into the leadership side of Budo. A requirement for rank advancement was helping to assist with younger classes. On a weekly basis, I would help out with 2 classes before my own training, and this set the foundation for my love of coaching and life’s mission to empower kids through Martial Arts!

In 2016, I began leading classes for kids as young as 4 all the way up to adult students. I became responsible for planning and facilitating lessons based on the curriculum given, and over the years have assisted in further developing that curriculum to improve the student experience and maximize training on and off the mats.

In 2018, I also began taking on more roles within the business including becoming part of the sales team, creating content for Budo’s social media profiles, and managing some daily operations.

As a sales associate, almost immediately upon my starting the team began hitting record numbers of sign-ups. Our new student enrollment shot up from 5-10 students per month, to nearly 30 in a short time!

During the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown, after our team leader stepped down, I took over the team as Program Director and Office Director. As Program Director, I was responsible for managing the school’s curriculum and ensuring student progress, as well as maintaining standards for rank progression. These responsibilities were in addition to teaching classes 6 days per week.

As Office Manager, I took on more responsibility such as:

    Overseeing all daily operations

    Staff scheduling, coordination, and onboarding

    Improving member communications

    Overseeing marketing and sales efforts

Optimizing company systems and processes to maximize efficiency

Recently, our coaching and sales team has increased our conversion rate of free trials to enrolled students by more than 50% in less than 10 months.

We have also raised our conversion rate of interested prospects to first class bookings from under 25% to more than 60% in the same time period.

Lastly, I’ve worked to enhance the customer experience through community-building events and initiatives such as:

    Quarterly rank promotions

School-wide events to support local business

Personal achievement journals for students to apply lessons learned ot their everyday lives

Through all of these efforts, since the summer of 2020, Budo’s membership has grown over 150% to more than 260 students!

  • JCC Camps at Medford

In the summer of 2011, I began attending JCC Camps at Medford in Medford, NJ. For a few years I was a camper, but in the summer of 2014 I had the opportunity to become a Counselor in Training (CIT) and start working with the younger campers.

Over the next few summers, I would work my way up to the rank of Senior Counselor by the age of 17 (a position traditionally reserved for those 18 years or older). I would spend 2 summers working as a Senior Counselor, using the skills I’d learned at Budo and as a counselor over the years to help my bunks of up to 16 kids become the most organized, well-behaved group of 8 year olds in the camp. We also had a ton of fun, excelled in many activities, and at the end of summer 2018, I was named “Counselor of the Year!”

  • BBYO (South Jersey Region)

Throughout high school I became a member with BBYO in the South Jersey Region and took on multiple leadership positions throughout my time involved with the organization. Specifically, I spent time as chapter Treasurer, where in one 6-month term I raised more than $2,000 for the chapter, a record in the region!

I also served as Vice President of Membership, and was appointed to multiple committee and chair positions regionally. One of which was the J-Lead Chair, where I steered a 10-week program designed to lead high school freshmen through different programs, workshops, and discussions that would enhance their leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. That year, the program had over 20 graduates.

  • Blauer Tactical Systems

In 2019, I became certified to teach Tony Blauer’s SPEAR System. Since then, I’ve led and assisted with numerous classes, workshops, teaching kids and adults how to apply the system and improve their Personal Defense Readiness.
